sowing HOPE, reaping LIFE
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
To be a holistic support center for impoverished children and youth that shares God’s hope through relationships that are developed through programs that enrich quality of life.
Transform communities through families that have God´s hope and that independently strengthen the overall well-being of each member.
God called both Nancy and Josué to missions at a young age. Nancy moved to Guatemala in 2003 and married Josué in 2009. Currently, they serve as directors of the Jeremiah Project. The Jeremiah Project is more than just an after-school program or a place kids get a warm nutritious lunch. The JP is family. A family where each member is loved, accepted, forgiven and called to be a disciple of Jesus.
HOPE! Poverty is not just a lack of resources but a mentality of being unworthy and shameful which leads to terrible hopelessness. We desire to share God’s HOPE with the impoverished children and youth of Guatemala so they might know their worth and dignity. Sowing HOPE into their lives and watching God reap LIFE.
Kids need time to just be kids and play. In many of our JP families the kids grow up too fast, having to take on responsibilities to work or take care of siblings.
Not only learning facts but learning to think critically, problem solve and create new possibilities.
We eat together a balanced lunch each week day and also send food into the homes at least once a year.
Technology is part of life and we want our JP kids to learn how to use it to accomplish their dreams.
